Here is my story...

When I first started as a Speech Language Pathologist years ago, I thought, OK, now I need to buy a bunch of new materials/toys so that I can "feeeeel" like a legit clinician.

I thought I needed the bells and whistles and the latest and greatest materials to bring into therapy sessions.

BUT, I slowly came to realize...the sessions that were the most impactful were the ones that I improvised with something that my client was interested in.

And a lot of times it was RANDOM:

gravel
water bottles
keys
paper
pots & pans

I quickly realized that I could do Speech Therapy with literally ANY object in front of me.

I NOW know that I can create a robust, research-based, toddler learning experience with simple random objects like:

a blade of grass
straws
a tissue
a piece of lint

That is why I started making my Youtube Videos for you!

It’s not WHAT you have to play with, it is HOW you interact with your child that helps them develop a love of connecting with you which ultimately leads to a love of learning.

Toy companies know what they are doing when it comes to marketing to parents.

AND WE ARE FALLING FOR IT, hook line and sinker!

If you believe that you need a specific toy to teach your child a specific skill, the toy companies have us EXACTLY where they want us. Reliant on purchasing their specific toy because you feeeeel like you neeeed it.

Their marketing is WORKING on you. And it’s not your fault! They are using the best psychologists marketing gurus to make it seeeeem like you are a bad parent if your child doesn’t have this latest and greatest thing.

That’s like telling a chef that their food won’t taste as good unless they have the newest kitchen gadgets. Can a new gadget make cooking in the kitchen more streamlined? Yes. But having 24 different kinds of spatulas will not make the food taste better, will it? No.

I am tired of it.

I am calling their bluff. I am drawing a line in the sand.

Here’s what I believe:

➜ YOU don’t need more stuff for your toddler.
➜ you DON'T need more stuff for your toddler.
➜ you don’t need MORE stuff for your toddler.

Because here is the thing.

Kids in our generation have more toys than ever before.

They are also:

more distracted
less focused
have shorter attention spans.

➜What if our focus is on the wrong thing? (GASP!)

We can’t outsource teaching our toddlers to iPads and toys that light up and sing the alphabet in a high pitched voice.

MINDSET SHIFT

Instead of thinking:

“What is the next toy I can buy that will help my toddler learn?”

Let’s start thinking:

“How can I UPLEVEL my own creativity to help my toddler learn?"

Don’t invest in more toys ➜ Invest in your own knowledge and skills.

Toys aren’t the key to learning.

Connection and interaction are.

This is why my husband and I don't plan on spending money on baby toys. I know we will occasionally get a couple toys as gifts from sweet friends and family, which is fine. But our vision is to have a minimal amount of toys.

The kinds of toys I prefer as an SLP are simple and open-ended, allowing for creativity like wooden blocks, magnets, books, legos, toy food, animals, cars, bubbles, and toys geared toward pretend play.

Who is this program for?

Can I just figure these strategies out on my own?

You do NOT need this class to be successful. You can figure it out on your own. It takes longer. Sometimes you end up wasting a lot of time and money...but it's 100% possible. I did it. I wish I had this class guiding me through because we made a ton of unneeded mistakes but I have faith that with enough determination you can figure it out. My advice to you is this: Determine exactly WHY you are choosing to enroll (or not to enroll). If this decision is being motivated by FEAR or GUILT, it would be smart to reconsider. If it's being motivated by something else, than say no with confidence and believe in yourself.

Do you have a refund policy?

I don't offer refunds. I only want students who believe in my system, believe in me, and believe in themselves to join. Removing my refund policy helps weed out the people who aren't all in and committed to themselves and to learning.

How many lessons are in the course?

It's perfect for you if:
